A QUICK Introduction:
Created to hold members accountable for the goals they have set for themselves, this group also serves as a source of inspiration, ideas, skills and knowledge for everyone.
If you want to go fast, you can do it alone. But if you want to go far, let’s do it together.
A SLOW introduction:
Whether you are aspiring to be (or already) a published (or self-published) author or an entrepreneur, you are technically an authorpreneur.
Authorpreneurs are people who understand how their writings can help promote themselves and their businesses. But they also know that in order for that to happen, they must acquire the skills to market their own writings in the first place!
This is where we come into the picture. We are that picture because it's about how we together as a group can help ourselves. Every one brings to the table every time we meet an idea, a skill or some knowledge that we already possess and goes home with a total sum of all the ideas, skills and knowledge that are being shared on the table on the very same day.
Every one in this group is his or her own leader of their own writing project and also is the team member of his/her peers' respective writing projects. If I want my team to be very supportive of my project, I then must be a very supportive team member of each of their writing projects.
That's when sparks will fly and a whole wild fire of writing projects will take off from here to all possible directions.
The diversity in this group will be the most important asset. The more advanced members will help the less advanced members. Likewise, the beginners will also inject or re-ignite a sense of passion that advanced members might have lost some where along the way...
Long story short, our definition of authorpreneurship here is based around ideas and actions. Ideas beget more ideas. Actions (which are ideas in motion) lead to further actions, bringing us closer to our dreams one step at a time.
As a group, we can be powerful. When we are powerful, everything feels more possible. Otherwise, how else can we overcome the endless obstacles that have been holding us back for so long???
Let's adopt, as our group's mantra, from a simple but truly powerful quote from Marcus Aurelius who once said,
"THE IMPEDIMENT TO ACTION ADVANCES ACTION. WHAT STANDS IN THE WAY BECOMES THE WAY".

Rocky the writer???

An authorpreneur is one who believes in the power of books. He/she believes that the books he/she read have the power to transform his/her life like nothing else can. He/she also believes that his/her writings can create an enormous impact on people's lives. And the first person their writings (whether published or unpublished) touch is themselves. Sylvester Stallone is one such person whose life had been changed forever by two book-related events. One, when he read a book of poems written by Edgar Allan Poe which prompted him to make the decision to be a writer. Two, when he wrote the Rocky story (over three days in one sitting) after he watched how a nobody-journey-man boxer knocked down Muhammad Ali unexpectedly. Although he did not win the match, the fact that he knocked down Muhammad Ali (even if it was only once) had ignited the fire in Stallone to write that script. One breathe at a time...

The one-breath-at-a-time approach to overcoming obstacles can be very effective if you think about it deeply enough. I put myself before the task I need to acc omplish. And let my breathing take me from the start till the end of it all. Unless that task kills me, it is 100% certain that I will breathe in and out through the entire task. So the question is no longer whether I can accomplish my task but rather, will I put myself before the task to be accomplished. Because if I do, I will breathe myself into it, through it and finish it. Unless of course the task finishes me off. But the breathing approach still holds because as long as I continue to breath I will continue to accomplish.

When you write, you write not just for yourself, you write to help your readers. No matter how unworthy you think you are, you never know how others might still benefit from your help. So, stop beating yourself down and start writing that book.
